Baru-baru ini Bupati menyerahkan bantuan uang tunai Rp 200 juta dan sebidang tanah kepada Yayasan Bhakti Luhur Sekadau

SEKADAU. Bupati Simon Petrus di masa-masa akhir jabatannya terus melakukan pendekatan dengan rakyatnya. Baru-baru ini Bupati menyerahkan bantuan uang tunai Rp 200 juta dan sebidang tanah kepada Yayasan Bhakti Luhur Sekadau.

“Sangat berbahagia atas apresiasi warga Tionghoa yang sangat antusias mengikuti ini. Sebagai seorang kepala daerah saya tidak membedakan suku, agama, atau ras apapun dalam membangun Sekadau. Semuanya sama saja. Semuanya akan dibantu dan pembangunan dilakukan secara merata di setiap daerah,” ungkap Bupati Simon Petrus, baru-baru ini.

Bantuan senilai Rp 200 juta tersebut diharapkan dapat dipergunakan yayasan saat ini. Sedangkan tanah untuk persiapan keperluan di kemudian hari.

“Ini merupakan bagian dari rencana kerja saya selama lima tahun terakhir. Saudara-saudara patut berbangga, karena walaupun sebagai kaum minoritas, saudara-saudara tetap disetarakan dan diperhatikan Pemkab,” ungkap Simon di hadapan ratusan etnik Tionghoa.

Sementara itu, salah seorang warga Tionghoa, Kong Kwet Bun atau Abun, mengaku sangat senang dengan kepemimpinan Simon Petrus. “Beliau sangat konsisten memerhatikan setiap kebutuhan masyarakat. Menurut saya kepemimpinan Pak Simon sangat bagus. Kami  sangat senang mendapat perhatian serta bantuan tanpa memilih suku bangsa mana pun di Sekadau yang kita cintai ini,” pungkasnya. (gan)

SEKADAU. Regent Simon Peter in his final period of office continues to engage with the people. Recently, the regent gave cash grants amounting 200 million Rupiahs and a parcel of land to Bhakti Luhur Foundation Sekadau.

“I am really happy with the ethnic Chinese participation in this social act. As a regent, I do not segregate people based on their ethnicities, religion, or race, whatsoever. We all are called to built Sekadau. Everyone is equal. The development will be constantly progressed in every part of the region,” says Regent Simon Peter.

His cash grant totalling 200 million rupiahs is expected to be used by the foundation, while the piece of land is prepared for future use should the need arise.

This event is a part of my work agenda in the past five years of office. “Brothers and sisters of ethnic Chinese, you should be proud of yourself; and being a minority, your rights are always in the   government’s priority list,” says Simon in front of hundreds of ethnic Chinese audience.

Meanwhile, an ethnic Chinese participant, Kong Kwet Bun a.k.a Abun, admitted that he is very happy with Simon Petrus’ Leadership. “The regent is consistently paying attention to the local people’s needs. In my opinion, Mr. Simon’s leadership is very good. We are happy to get our needs addressed and being able to receive help without regards to social segregation based on ethnicity in the land of Sekadau that we love,” he says.
