Students at Don Bosco Junior High School in Atambua, East Nusa Tenggara, yesterday visited two orphanages as a way to celebrate their school’s 52nd anniversary, which falls on January 31.
Accompanied by several teachers, they played and sang together with children, some disabled, at the Bhakti Luhur Orphanage and the New Life Rehabilitation Center.
They also distributed food and other items to the orphanages.
“The visits are a learning program outside the class. The students have spent more time in their classes. So starting today, we will introduce the program so as to mold the students’ character,” Arkadius Seran Joseph, a teacher, said.
